Olympics: Teremoana brutally knocks out Ukrainian rival, then celebrates wildly as Australian giants start Paris strong
While Harry Garside was disappointed in the boxing ring in Paris, Australian star Teremoana started his Olympic campaign with a brutal victory.
The 26-year-old, who competes in the super heavyweight class, secured a knockout victory in his fight against Ukrainian Dmytro Lovchynskyi on Monday afternoon local time.
The poor Ukrainian survived a knockdown and a standing count of eight before Teremoana took him down with a stiff one-two, forcing the referee to stop the contest.
After being officially confirmed as the winner of the match, the Australian celebrated in a brazen manner in the middle of the ring.
He will fight in the quarterfinals on Friday.
