OnePlus Ace 5 series key features announced; could get 6,000mAh battery
OnePlus Ace 5 series is expected to launch soon. Previous leaks have suggested that the OnePlus Ace 5 and OnePlus Ace 5 Pro could arrive with flagship Snapdragon chipsets and 1.5K LTPO displays. Design details of the alleged handsets have also been tipped. A recent leak has reiterated some of the earlier claims and hinted at more key features. Notably, the OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro are expected to be the successors to the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro and Ace 3 variants.
OnePlus Ace 5 Series Features (Expected)
According to a Weibo after According to tipster Digital Chat Station (translated from Chinese), the OnePlus Ace 5 series is expected to come with custom BOE X2 8T LTPO flat displays with 1.5K resolution and ultra-narrow bezels on all four sides. 
The tipster added that the base OnePlus Ace 5 handset could come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, while the Pro variant is likely to feature an as-yet-unreleased Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC. Both the alleged smartphones are said to feature a high-density 6,000mAh battery each.
In terms of cameras, both the OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro are expected to feature a 50-megapixel triple rear camera unit. However, the tipster adds that it is likely that neither device will feature a periscope shooter. For security, both phones are also rumored to feature ultra-thin optical fingerprint sensors.
The tipster adds that the OnePlus Ace 5 series could feature rectangular metal mid-bezels. An earlier leak had suggested that the Pro variant could feature a glass-ceramic body with chamfered edges. These are expected to be mid-range offerings and may launch around November this year in China.
Notably, the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro was launched in China in June this year, while the vanilla Ace 3 variant was unveiled in the country in January 2024. A third OnePlus Ace 3V was introduced in April. There have been no reports of a OnePlus 5V device yet.
