OnePlus May Launch Ace 5 Series In China With These Specs
OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro could launch later this year, according to claims made on social media by a tipster. Since their debut, smartphones belonging to the OnePlus Ace series have remained exclusive to China and the upcoming devices are likely to continue the trend. While the OnePlus Ace 5 is believed to be powered by an existing chipset, the top-end Ace 5 Pro is said to feature Qualcomm’s upcoming flagship chipset under the hood.
This development builds on a leak that surfaced earlier this month, which hinted at several specifications of the standard OnePlus Ace 5.

In a after On Chinese social media platform Weibo, tipster Digital Chat Station shared (translated from Chinese) details about the likely launch timeline and the chipsets that will power the OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro. The OnePlus Ace 5 is believed to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, which currently powers the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra and other flagship devices.
Meanwhile, the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro is said to feature the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset under the hood, which is speculated to be launched at the upcoming Snapdragon Summit scheduled to be held from October 21 to 23 in Hawaii. However, it won’t be the first smartphone to get the same, as Xiaomi has reportedly secured “exclusive first launch rights” for its alleged Xiaomi 15 Pro.
Both smartphones are expected to launch in Q4 2024, possibly in December. The OnePlus Ace 5 series is also expected to feature “super-large” silicon batteries and a new look.
