OnePlus Pad 2 spotted on Geekbench; launch timeline reportedly delayed
OnePlus Pad 2 is expected to launch as a successor to the OnePlus Pad that was unveiled in February 2023. The alleged tablet is expected to come with upgrades over the older version. The company is yet to officially confirm the tablet but details about it have surfaced online. Recently, it was spotted on a benchmarking website which hinted at some key features. The launch timeline of the tablet along with other OnePlus and Oppo devices has also reportedly been delayed.
OnePlus Pad 2 Geekbench List
The OnePlus Pad 2 has recently been spotted on Geekbench with model number OnePlus OPD2404. The chipset information on the listing revealed that the tablet will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.
The tablet will come with 8GB of RAM and run Android 14, according to the listing on the benchmarking website. The alleged OnePlus Pad 2 was seen with scores of 2,103 and 6,297 on single- and multi-core tests respectively.
OnePlus Pad 2 specifications (expected)
Since the Oppo Pad 2 has similar specs to the OnePlus Pad, the alleged Oppo Pad 3 could be similar to the upcoming OnePlus Pad 2.
The Oppo Pad 3 will Reportedly a 12.1-inch 3K (3,000 x 2,120 pixels) LCD display with a 7:5 aspect ratio. It is expected to feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage.
The tablet is also likely to get a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera and will be backed by a 9,150mAh battery with 67W wired fast charging support. It may also support Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.
OnePlus Pad 2, OnePlus Watch 3 launch timeline (expected)
The OnePlus Pad 2 was previously rumored to launch in the second half of 2024, that is, between July and December. Now, tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed in a Weibo after that the launch of the OnePlus Pad 2, along with the OnePlus Watch 3, will likely be delayed. He did not give an exact timeline, nor did he hint at a reason for the possible delay.
Another tipster is Max Jambor (@MaxJmb) supported this claim. Besides the OnePlus Pad 2 and OnePlus Watch 3, the launch of the Oppo Pad 3 has also reportedly been delayed.
