Ooh la la! The VERY popular French diver Jules Bouyer – and his super tight swimming trunks – are back in action with another impressive performance (but the judges thought otherwise)
The very popular French diver Jules Bouyer was back in action this afternoon in his super tight swimming trunks and once again showed an impressive performance.
The 22-year-old home favourite went for gold in the final of the men’s 3-metre springboard at the Olympic Games in Paris.
Despite not winning a medal, the diver once again won over Olympic fans thanks to his tight swimming trunks.
Bouyer finished eighth with a score of 395.70, behind China’s Siyi Xie and Zongyuan Wang who won gold and silver and Mexico’s Osmar Olvera Ibarra who took bronze.
Last Friday he also competed in the final of the men’s 3m synchro plank, together with his teammate Alexis Jandard. The duo finished in fifth place.
Bouyer, from Annecy in southeastern France, was branded a heartbreaker last week when a photo of him in his exceptionally tight swimming trunks went viral on social media.

The photo of him showering by the pool has caused a stir among fans, with one saying: ‘This is the only reason I love the Olympics’.
Another added: ‘I really hope his speedo gets paid 1.5 times as much.’
A third fan wrote: ‘It fills out a speedo really well.’
“Those Speedos are really working overtime now,” joked a fourth.
Another satisfied fan simply wrote that the Frenchman was ‘perfect’.
Today’s result, however, marks a frustrating end to what has been a lightning-fast Olympics for Bouyer, whose new fan base was devastated that he did not win a medal in Paris.
Someone wrote: ‘Wait, I’m sad now. Who am I supposed to cheer for at the Olympics now that Jules Bouyer is gone?’
Another wrote: ‘Jules Bouyer, I will always love you’.
While someone simply commented: ‘JULES BOUYER! that’s the tweet’.
Following last week’s online craze, underwear company Shinesty has reportedly offered to protect the 22-year-old’s famous belly for life.
According to TMZ Sport, employees at Shinesty, who are known for their “Ball Hammock Pouch Underwear” that provide extra support to the male genitals, are willing to give Bouyer a lifetime supply of their underwear.
“When we saw what Olympic diver Jules Bouyer had in his gear in the south of France, it didn’t matter that we were an American company,” a company spokesperson said.
“We wanted to give him a gold medal and protect his front truck for the upcoming Olympics.”

Shinesty is said to have already contacted Bouyer’s family and Olympic authorities to start talks about a possible deal with the diver.
Bouyer started diving at the age of six and joined the French senior team’s training camp in 2020.
In 2021 he won both the European and World junior titles, after which he qualified for an Olympic spot on his home country in Paris.
