Oppo Find N5 launch timeline, specs leaked

The Oppo Find N5 is said to be in the works as a successor to last year’s Find N3. Although Oppo While OnePlus Inc. has yet to announce the launch of its next book-style foldable phone, a tipster has leaked the launch timeline and specs. The Oppo Find N5 is said to go official early next year. It is said to feature a thin build and could be powered by an unannounced Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC. The Oppo Find N5 is expected to launch as the OnePlus Open 2 in select markets. Last year, the OnePlus Open was unveiled in select markets as a rebadged Find N3.

Key details of Oppo Find N5 leaked

Tipster Digital Chat Station suggested the launch timeline and specs of the unannounced Oppo Find N5 in a now-removed (via) post on Weibo. The handset is said to be unveiled in the first quarter of next year. This is in line with previous leaks about the launch of the OnePlus Open 2. However, the Oppo Find N3 is set to debut in October 2023.

The Oppo Find N5 is expected to feature 2K resolution displays. It is said to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC. The foldable phone is expected to feature a triple camera setup on the back, headlined by a 50-megapixel Sony snapper. The camera setup is said to include a single unspecified periscope sensor. It could also feature an alert slider and a waterproof build.

Like its predecessor, the Oppo Find N5 is said to feature a large circular camera island. It is said to have a thin and light build, measuring around 9.xmm thick. The tipster claimed in a response that it will have a “record-breaking” thinness. If true, this will make it thinner than the Galaxy Z Fold 6 (12.1mm) and Oppo Find N3 (11.7mm).

The Oppo Find N3 was launched in the global market as the OnePlus Open. Based on this, it is speculated that the Find N5 will get a new name: OnePlus Open 2.
