Oppo K9s listed on seller’s site before launch, key specs tipped

Oppo K9s appears to be a new smartphone that the Chinese smartphone company plans to launch soon. The specs and features of the smartphone have appeared on a Chinese retail site ahead of an official announcement from Oppo. The latest K9 series phone is powered by a Snapdragon 778G chipset and has a 120Hz display. Oppo K9s comes in three different color options and two RAM and storage configurations. Some of the handset’s features have also been tipped off by a Weibo message, further suggesting that the launch is imminent.

According to the listing on JD.com, the Oppo K9s is available for pre-order in Magic Purple Quicksand, Neon Silver Sea and Obsidian Warrior colors. The device is likely to debut on October 20, as evidenced by the pre-order period listed on the e-commerce website.

The Oppo K9s is seen with a punch-hole screen design in images attached to the offer. The phone is said to have a 6.59-inch full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone can also be seen with a side-facing fingerprint scanner. The handset is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset.

The e-commerce listing suggests that the Oppo K9s smartphone will have an X-axis linear motor for gaming and it will be available in two variants: 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. For optics, the Oppo K9s is seen with a triple rear camera.

Separately, a well-known tipster WHYLAB on Weibo has also leaked some specs of the handset. The post reiterates the presence of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor, 6.59-inch (2,412 × 1,080 pixels) LCD display, triple rear camera setup and side fingerprint recognition in the Oppo K9s.

According to the tipster, the triple rear camera of the Oppo K9s will be topped off with a 64-megapixel main sensor and two 2-megapixel secondary sensors. The device would have a 16 megapixel camera on the front. The latest smartphone from the Oppo K9 series is said to be equipped with a 4,880 mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging.
