Our families stopped us from doing OnlyFans…but now I’ve bought a £500,000 house

IT is the website that revolutionized the sex industry and brought rapid wealth to people willing to give it their all.

But the OnlyFans stars warn the internet subscription service, which rakes in more than £4billion a year, is tearing families apart as those who take their belongings off are in turn ostracised by their loved ones.

The Sun on Sunday reported earlier this month how former Emmerdale actress Sammy Winward had fallen out with her daughter Mia, 19, over the teenager’s sexual acts. OnlyFans work.

Mia claims that interacting with her fans on the site makes her ten times more money than most other jobs she could aspire to.

But she adds: “I love my mother very much, I love my whole family, but none of them speak to me anymore.”

Similarly, former Southampton footballer Matt Le Tissier was previously criticised by his son Mitchell and daughter-in-law Alex – who have four children – over her OnlyFans modelling work.

In 2022, he admitted: “I don’t want to have anything to do with them anymore.”

But The Sun on Sunday can reveal these celebrities are not the only ones devastated by the fact that they believe their loved ones have sold their bodies and souls for online wealth.

Former real estate agent Courtney Sins, who made £1.1million from OnlyFans last year, admits she paid the price for being cut off by her sister and parents.

Courtney, 41, from Northamptonshire, gave up her £50,000-a-year job to join the site, where she sold racy, bespoke videos for up to £1,200 a time.

‘Pension money’

She says: ‘Some family members didn’t like me having relationships with people online and we haven’t spoken since.

“I may regret it if I can’t heal the damage with my family. But I have to do what makes me happy.

“I had been on OnlyFans for a few years when I thought it was time to tell them the truth. They were absolutely disgusted by it.

“I tried talking to my sister, but she doesn’t want anything to do with me.

“Since I got cut off, it’s been so annoying. I really hope that eventually we can rebuild the bridges.

“It’s not like I’m a porn star who has orgies with different people every week. I’m just having some fun and making money for my future and my pension. I have to live my life.”

Courtney, whose Instagram tag is Courtney_blonde, expects to pay a tax bill of £75,000, adding: “I’m a limited company, I pay VAT and it’s all legit. People think I’m selling myself online, but I’m a serious businesswoman and this is a serious business.

COURTNEY SAYS: Since I got cut off it’s been so annoying. But I’m making money I could only dream of.

I hope that in time we can rebuild the bridges. People think I am selling myself online, but I am a serious business woman and this is serious business.

“I earn money that I can only dream of. I spend it on clothes and lingerie because it’s tax deductible, and I put it aside for my retirement. I work every day.”

Meanwhile, Elena Xonia, former assistant restaurant manager at Bella Italia, also had a heartbreaking fallout with her family after changing careers to promote her products on OnlyFans.

Elena, 31, from Luton, born in Romania, earns up to £50,000 a month. She started posting in March 2021 and her father John, 56, no longer speaks to her.

Unemployed John and her nursing mother Floria, 50, were devastated when a neighbour in Bacau, Romania, told them what she was doing in secret. But Elena is undeterred as her income has allowed her to buy a £500,000 home.

She says about OnlyFans: “I tried it to make some extra money while working in a restaurant.

“The first month I made £800, the second £2,500 and then I made £25,000 in six months, which was insane.

“I decided to quit the restaurant job because there was no point in working 40 hours a week for £1,800 when I could be earning that amount.”

People think I just sell myself online, but I am a serious businesswoman and this is serious business.

She now earns between £20,000 and £50,000 a month and adds: “I sell nudes in secret, but I focus more on the relationship stuff, where we just talk, and it’s Nice.

INCOME: €345,000

TAX: £35,000 personal and £56,000 corporate (total £91,000)

SPLIT: She stopped speaking to her father after a neighbor tipped him off that Elena had left her management job at a Bella Italia restaurant to take a job.

ELENA SAYS: My father came on the phone and was rude to me. He doesn’t really talk to me anymore.

He says I’ve let him down – and he may be right. But at the same time I’ve just bought a house for £500,000.

“I have about 3,000 subscribers now and I work ten or twelve hours a day. One day I called my mom and she told me that a neighbor showed her pictures from my Instagram. I said, ‘What’s the big deal?’

Then my father came on the phone and he was very rude to me. Now he hardly talks to me anymore.

He says I’ve let him down, and maybe he’s right, but at the same time I’ve just bought a house for half a million pounds.

“He says, ‘Only whores do this kind of work.’ It hurts, honestly, but I’m 31 and old enough to take care of myself.”

‘Selling our soul’

Elena, who has the Instagram tag elena_xonia_reels, claims that she is a hardworking businesswoman.

She says: “People have the impression that we sell our souls, but if you want to make money, you have to put in a lot of effort.

“Last year I earned £345,000 and paid myself £35,000 in personal tax and £56,000 in corporation tax.

“That’s after I subtract my deductibles, including my office, camera, lighting, outfits, and microphones. I have a lot of expenses and a marketing company.

“I think I pay too much tax because it’s nearly £100,000 a year. But I love my job because I can work from anywhere — and the money is really good.”

IT’S A MYTH, YOU’RE IN CONTROL

SALLY LAND, The Sun on Sunday’s Agony Aunt, says:

“It’s easy to see why becoming an OnlyFans star is appealing – unlike the rest of the sex industry, performers appear to have control over their work and image.

“Then there’s the money. A lot of women who have chosen this talk about empowerment, and everyone has the right to make choices. But no one who creates content can maintain control. Once it’s published, it’s vulnerable to being screen recorded, recorded, and posted on other sites.

“People who pay for gratification can develop a sense of entitlement over you, and there are people who research private information from OnlyFans creators and then publish it. Finally, I’m not sure losing your family is a price worth paying.”
