Sam Long has signed a new deal to stay in Oxford.
The 30-year-old defender has been to the club all his career.
His new contract keeps him tied up Oxford Up to at least 2027.
There is also an option for an extra year.
Long, who was left for another year in his current deal, is known as Mr. Oxford because he has never played for another side since he came to the club at the age of eight.
He played 272 first team matches for the club that made his U’s debut Accringon In 2013.
For a long time played a major role in the Oxford season, in which they avoided relegation and ended 17th.
Boss Gary Rowett Has been impressed for a long time and wanted to commit his future to the club.
Rowett took over in December and also admits that Oxford will investigate Europe to sign players this summer.
He said: “We always want to find a mix.

“I will be very surprised if we don’t sign players from European competitions this summer.
“I think there is a great value there.
“I have seen it before where not only there is great value to improve your team, but there is a great value to make an active that you might sell in the future at a certain point, which is important.”
