The 30-year-old mother struggled to interpret the specific and unusual demands of her son Harvey, but was relieved when he gave her meal the seal of approval and she was able to avoid a drift shower.

She shared the hilarious interaction in one Tap Video that soon became viral while co-parents said they were strongly connected to the fear of keeping track of the ever-changing culinary preferences of toddlers.

In the clip, Steph, who expects her second baby every day, films herself while she responds and tries to understand Harvey’s instructions.

“So you want me to cut your crumpet in two and have jam on one side and vegemite on the …” she started to clarify them – before she was quickly interrupted and corrected by the young person.

After some chatter, the mother thought that Harvey wanted his jam on top of his vegemite – but she was mistaken again.

In the end, Steph understood that the toddler asked for a crumpet with jam on one half and vegemite on the other – and it has to stay whole.

“I promise, I’ll do my best,” she laughed in response.

“Having a toddler is being an assistant to being a controversial business director that you don’t pay and always makes inconsistent, whimsical and illogical demands,” a mother joked.

“I serve the food of my children who shake fear every time,” confessed a second one.

“I was absolutely terrified of you,” wrote a third and another answered, “Seriously, my breath was waiting to hear if she was doing well or not!”

“The silence while your work was assessed was stressful,” someone added.

Many were impressed by the correct understanding of Steph of the requests of Harvey, who admit that they would have provoked a tantrum.

‘Ok, I completely misunderstood. I thought he wanted the jam and vegemite on the plate next to the crumpet on both sides. Glad you clocked those instructions, mama, ‘a woman laughed.

“Thank goodness you understood that because I still thought the crumpet should be dry with the herbs next to them, not on them,” was a second agreement.

‘Did you nail it, Mom! Take the rest of the day off!, “Said a viewer.

“To be honest, at that time I would have asked him to do it myself, kitchen closed,” another joked.

Others said the interaction was far removed from their own youth.

“What happened to you, get what you get or you get nothing at all?” someone asked.

“We used to get a choice – take it or leave it behind,” someone else remembered.
