Cruise ship passengers were amazed to hear that their captain had died tragically in the middle of their 19-day vacation.
Destruction followed on the Diamond Princess ship of Princess Cruises when guests received a letter that break the news about the sudden death of Captain Michele Bartolomei.
The 52-year-old Italian resident died of a medical emergency and was discovered on Monday morning while the ship was moored in Keelung, Taiwan.
