Golf witnesses one of the best comeback stories in history.
After he withdrew in 2021, Ben Griffin is on top of the PGA Tour again.
Griffin gave up his golf dream in 2021 and opted for a career as a loan officer.
However, after he had spent time in the work, he realized that he had to fight for his golf dream again.
Griffin worked his way through the Korn Ferry Tour and earned his tour card in 2023.
Now Griffin puts together great tournament weekends every month.
In just the last two weeks, Griffin finished eighth in the PGA championship and won the Charles Schwab Challenge.
“My parents grew up so much for me,” said Griffin after his victory.
“I know they have sacrificed a lot for me, and I mention a lot of my success today in my short game.
“It kept me in, and that’s what I did as a child. That’s what helped my short game to be so good today.”
That piece of versions earned him $ 2.1 million in just a period of two weeks.
Fans were inspired by the story of Griffin and shared their thoughts about social media.
“20 years in loan officer pay in 2 weeks,” said a fan.
“Perseverance pays off,” said another fan.
“Not bad for a loan officer,” said a third fan.
“Taking a break does not mean giving up forever,” said a fourth fan.
“Absolutely pay better than a loan officer for 2 weeks,” said a fifth fan.
Since he became Pro in 2023, Griffin has earned more than $ 11 million playing on the Tour.
He is currently in fifth place for the FedEx Cup championship.
If he stays in that position at the end of the season, Griffin will earn another $ 5 million.
