Darts legend Phil Taylor closed the size of the Premier League – and claimed that players don’t like it either.
Luke Humphries Vesta Luke Littler in the play-off showpiece to end the 16 nights roadshow last week.
The eight-player format with a quarter, semi and final every Thursday has been in force since 2022.
But Taylor is not a fan of the setup, proverb: “It’s very tiring … I think they should look at it now.
“It has to refurbish, that’s what I think. Much of the players don’t enjoy it and you can see it.”
Fans too criticized the repetitive format After last week’s final and Legend Steve Beaton too, labeling “boring”.
He argued that seeing top players opposite each other regularly to dampen the blockbuster for the match-ups.
But Taylor was entertained by the standard of playing this year during Premier League.
He added: “Luke and Luke really set the standards at the moment.
“The levels they produce and how they take the best apart – it’s incredible for the rest of the sport.
