Dolly Parton And Pit bull recently teamed up for a remix of “9 to 5” – and We weekly wants to know why this isn’t a more popular topic of conversation.

February was a busy month. Princess Kate Middleton has not been seen in public, Brittany Cartwright And Jax Taylor divorced, Rachel ‘Raquel’ Leviss indicted Tom Sandoval, Leah McSweeney Bravo sued, Beyonce announced a country album and Taylor Swift won the Super Bowl.

So it’s understandable that few people noticed when Mr. Worldwide, 43, joined Parton, 78, for “Powerful Women,” in which “9 to 5” is sampled and Pitbull tells Parton to “get it, girl’. But it’s now March – and Women’s History Month – and Us cannot allow this supervision to continue any longer.

Released on February 16, “Powerful Women” is part of a compilation Pitbull produced in conjunction with the Daytona 500, where he performed as part of the festivities. The EP is also present Tim McGraw And Nile Rodgersand it is the second release in Pitbull’s Railway house series, which debuted in October 2023. Nothing about the original Railway house or Trackhouse (Daytona 500 edition) however, can compete with “powerful women” for many reasons.

Reason number 1 is of course Parton, who is always up for anything and has a cheerful sense of humor. Haters will say this song is a disservice to her legendary career, but happy people can just sit back and laugh at the fact that Mr. 305 Got Parton rapping: ‘To Jane and Lily and the girls fighting for equal pay, equal rights / Now some of us are pit bulls too, we appreciate the things you do. (That is Jane Fonda And Lily Tomlinfor those readers who are not familiar with the cinematic masterpiece 9 to 5starring Parton, Fonda and Tomlin as three fed-up career women who team up to destroy their sexist, selfish, lying, hypocritical bigoted boss.)

Then there’s Pitbull himself, who is so genuinely enjoying himself at all hours of the day that it’s easier to just go along with it. He is the Guy Fieri of music, selling ridiculous goods that clog your arteries, but taste so amazing that you can’t help but enjoy a little treat.

The only thing missing is Pitbull Parton ‘Mrs. 865” — that’s the area code for Pigeon Forge, Tennessee — but we’ve got the next best thing: a Dolly/dale pun that Pitbull is so pleased with that he laughs at his own joke halfway through the song. Your move, Grammy voters!
