Plastic surgery has made me the Alan Sugar of stripping, says Megan BH

AFTER being relentlessly bullied for her appearance and barely able to afford a train ticket to work, Megan Barton-Hanson finally decided enough was enough.

At just 19 years old, the Love Island star, now 30, went under the knife for double surgery: a nose job and a breast enlargement.

And Megan says braving the knife helped keep the money rolling in – from an embarrassed teenager to the “Alan Sugar of strip clubs”.

The blonde beauty, who shot to fame in the 2018 series of the ITV dating show, revealed all when she sat down with dating expert Paul Carrick Brunson for his We Need To Talk podcast.

Megan embarked on a secret pregnancy after being raped by an abusive ex and her days of being tormented by bullies at school.

She confessed that she was ridiculed for her appearance – the size of her nose and her sticky ears – and that she also felt “slut-shamed.”

On one occasion, what she thought was an innocent little white lie turned her school years into a “misery.”

She admitted: ‘Children are cruel. A year 11 man was talking to me. He asked me to send him a sexually explicit video but I was too scared and thank God I didn’t.

“I didn’t send it to him and he goes, ‘I bet you haven’t even masturbated, have you?’

“At this point I hadn’t done that yet, but to look older I thought ‘yes, I have’. The next That day my life was a misery, the next year, until he left school.’

Megan’s friends were disgusted with her and hardly wanted to hang out with her.

She was constantly approached by bullies in the school hallway and said, “It was hell.”

But after years of torment, Megan took the plunge and made a big decision for herself.

When Megan was a teenager, she craved financial success, and she thought surgery would provide it.

Paul, 50, asked: “Your ears were put back, first the procedure, then your breasts were done. What drove you to get your breasts done at that age?”

Megan, from Essex, admitted: “I’ll be brutally honest: money.

“I didn’t have any problems, I was pretty confident with my natural breasts, but there was this girl and she was on social media and making a lot of money basically doing Page 3, but she was her own boss.

“I remember saying to my first boyfriend, ‘honey, she makes so much money, don’t you think I’m prettier, I could definitely do that if I had bigger tits’.

“I wanted my nose done, that was something else that school kids would pick up on.

“I hate being put to sleep, so I get my t**s done, the nose done, all in one and I can make so much money, on social media, or back then, Page 3 was still a thing.

“I wanted to be a glamor model, a girl.

“I was working in London and it was minimum wage so I could barely afford my train ticket to commute from Essex to London.

“I thought: this can’t be what life is.”

WHILE chatting to Paul Brunson, Megan revealed she is a survivor of repeated cases of domestic abuse.

Megan confirmed that years before Love Island, she became pregnant by an older lover after he removed his condom without her consent, known as stealth.

After a termination, on the way home from the clinic, Megan, 30, says her partner suddenly “transitioned” and became violently abusive.

Megan opened up to relationship coach Paul Carrick Brunson, saying: ‘He said, ‘You’re disgusting. You just killed our baby.”

“Then he says, ‘You’re making me sick,’ then he grabbed the seat belt, wrapped it around my neck, bit my nose – this was post-rhinoplasty – and said, ‘Do you think you look pretty with that new nose ?’ , bit it, started filming me and said, ‘Cry, b***h. Go tell the camera what you just did.”

“I was so shocked I couldn’t even cry. I couldn’t breathe.”

Host Brunson, 50, pointed out that the terrifying ordeal happened after an episode of rape, as stealth is considered rape under British law.

Continuing her memory, Megan revealed how her ex threatened to kill her before giving her ‘ten seconds to run’ to safety.

She said: “We are on a motorway, cars are speeding past at 70mph.

“I thought, even if I try (to run), it’s just going to make him more angry because he’s definitely going to catch me, so I just stood there frozen.”

The star then confessed that she did her “best acting” to convince the man to “calm down” before finally taking her home.

But later the ‘nightmare’ continued when the boyfriend arrived at Megan’s parents’ house armed with a crowbar.

He ‘made out’ with her father Kevin, a marine biologist, and then ‘strangled’ her mother Justine, as the family fled in their car.

He then threw the crowbar through the back window, with Megan in the backseat.

She said: “I thought he was literally going to kill me, the way he was. He was literally behaving psychotically.”

Bravely, Megan later told police about her ordeal and subsequently testified against her ex in a trial at the Crown Court, where he was sentenced to a month and a half in jail.

Megan was working as a legal PA at the time, but decided to invest in breast surgery.

After this, she started making money with her new look via scantily clad photos on Instagram and quickly amassed 200,000 followers before finding fame on Love Island.

Six years later, she now has 1.4 million followers, as she shared: “I owe a lot to Instagram, just posting more sexy pictures. The likes started to grow.”

When her social media account became popular, the reality TV star then turned to a strip club to further boost her finances.

She explained: ‘I was making really bad money at the law firm, it wasn’t worth the hours I put in. I had no money to spend on the weekend.

“I invested in my appearance, but what I made on Instagram wasn’t enough to survive on. I walked past the strip club and the girls outside looked so happy they were laughing. They were glamorous as f**k.

“I didn’t even tell my parents, I just walked in and said, ‘Hi, can I get a job?’

“I had never entered a strip club before, I just knew they looked happy and like they had a lot of money, and that was what I wanted.

“I was sexualized by the lawyers in training, the lawyers. The way they would look at me, the little things they would say, so in my mind, if you’re going to sexualize me while I’m dressed in a pencil skirt and tights at minimum wage, then I’m going to sexualize me where I can make that much money earn and be my own boss. So that’s what I did.

“The first year I thought I had made it. I thought I was Alan Sugar.”

Megan not only made money as a stripper and described herself as the “Alan Sugar of strip clubs”, but also found happiness and peace in her new job as a performing artist.

She beamed: “It was really liberating. They were some of the best memories of my life working at that strip club.

“It gave me a sisterhood that I had never had with girls before. Growing up, when the girls excluded me through no fault of my own, because I was being bullied by a much older boy… these girls could see it, I was very nerdy and shy.

“They were so sweet. I’ve never felt that sisterhood in my life, it was wonderful.”
