NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official ‘X‘ (formerly Twitter) account, @narendramodi, has the 100 million follower milestone, cementing his position as one of the most followed world leaders on the platform.
From July 14, Prime Minister ModiThe account has a whopping 100 million followers, making it one of the top 10 most followed accounts worldwide. This achievement comes as no surprise given Prime Minister Modi’s immense popularity and his active engagement with his supporters through social media.
Compared to other prominent, active world leaders, Prime Minister Modi has far more followers than US President Joe Biden, who has around 38 million followers on the platform.
However, former US President Barack Obama has 131 million followers. The list is headed by Elon Musk, who has 188.7 million followers.
The growth of Prime Minister Modi’s ‘X’ followers has been a gradual but steady process, with the account gaining millions of new followers since its inception in 2009. This massive online presence allows the prime minister to communicate directly with his constituents, share updates on government initiatives and amplify his political message.
