Poco C40, C40+ names confirmed in official community post
Poco has confirmed the names Poco C40 and Poco C40+ in a community forum post. The smartphones are expected to join the smartphone brand’s affordable C-series lineup. In an official community forum post, Poco sought testers for its MIUI Global Stable ROM. The community post also highlighted the names of the smartphones for which the company is looking for testers. The names in the list include two each from Poco’s M-series and C-series smartphones and also smartphones from the X-series lineup. The Poco C40 was also recently spotted on the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) and Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) websites with the same name.
A Poco community forum after Looking for testers for MIUI Global Stable ROM has confirmed the names of the two rumored smartphones that are said to be part of the Poco’ C-series lineup. The post highlighted the names of the smartphones that the testers are needed for. The list also included the name Poco C40 and Poco C40+. Other names that were listed included Poco M4 5G, Poco M4 Pro and Poco X4 Pro 5G.
Earlier, the Poco C40 was spotted multiple times with the same name and model number. As per a recent report, the Poco C40 was spotted on the websites of NBTC Thailand and BIS under the name C40 and it was indicated that the new Poco smartphone could be launched soon. As spotted, NBTC Thailand has approved the smartphone with model number 220333QPG.
To recall, the specifications of the upcoming smartphone have also been leaked in the past. The Poco C40 is expected to feature a JR510 SoC instead of a Qualcomm, MediaTek or Unisoc SoC, as per a report. The smartphone is also expected to come with MIUI Go, a custom version of the MIUI operating system.
The smartphone maker is yet to announce details on its release date, pricing or availability in India and the global market.
