Poignant final message from John Hunt’s daughter: How the tragic ex-girlfriend of the ‘crossbow killer’ shared a tweet praising ‘women who leave’ for their ‘strength’, just days before she was executed after a ‘messy breakup’
The ex-girlfriend of Kyle Clifford, who is suspected in the triple crossbow attack, posted a tweet praising “women who leave” for their “strength,” just days before she herself was fatally attacked in her home along with her mother and sister.
Louise Hunt, 25, the daughter of BBC star John Hunt, was tied up and murdered with a crossbow at their home in Bushey, Hertfordshire, along with her mother Carol, 61, and sister Hannah, 28, on Tuesday night.
Suspect Kyle Clifford, 26, who is believed to have split from Louise last week, was found hiding in a cemetery in Enfield on Wednesday afternoon and had been wounded. He appeared to have shot himself with a crossbow.
Louise was apparently so upset by their ‘messy’ break-up that she crashed her car into a wooden telegraph pole a few days earlier, causing the car door to collapse.
The young dog groomer reposted her last tweet on social media platform X on July 3, writing: ‘I admire women who leave, it doesn’t matter if you leave after the first time or the twelfth time, I admire shit!
“I don’t understand why people called you stupid for 11 years, but by year 12 you decided it was over. It takes a LOT of strength to break a tie. It takes a LOT of self-love to choose yourself.”

Neighbour Glyn Nicholas, 77, said Louise was very upset about the split from her boyfriend and crashed her car last week as a result.
He said: ‘Louise was a lovely girl. She ran a dog grooming salon from her home.
‘I heard she split up with a boyfriend last week and was very upset about it. So much so that at one point last week she was driving home and hit a wooden telegraph pole not far from the house.
‘Another dog groomer, who is a friend of Louise’s, told me that her car door had collapsed in the crash.’
The neighbor added: “I don’t know if it was her boyfriend, but let’s put it this way: A couple of my dog owners said her boyfriend had a traumatic experience last week.”
Carol told friends at the local gym that her youngest daughter was involved in a “messy breakup” with her boyfriend.
The mother went to exercise at Bushey Grove Leisure Centre on Tuesday afternoon.
She spoke to friends at the gym about the bad relationship between her daughter Louise and Kyle.
A friend said, “She said her daughter’s breakup with her boyfriend was a mess.
“Carol didn’t go into details, but you could tell she was concerned.”
