Police find two bodies on boat moored in Cammeray, Sydney Harbour

The bodies of a man and a woman were found last night on a boat moored in Sydney Harbour.

Emergency services were called to a mooring at Tunks Park last night amid concerns for the welfare of two people believed to be on the 47ft yacht.

When police arrived, they found the bodies of a man and a woman, believed to be between 50 and 60 years old.

Specialist assistance was called from Fire and Rescue NSW due to concerns about the presence of fumes on board.

Police were told the two individuals spent Monday night on the boat, but when they did not return, concerns were raised.

Detectives have established a crime scene and begun an investigation.

A number of objects were found at the crime scene that will be taken for forensic examination.

An autopsy will be performed in the coming days to confirm the identity of the man and woman and determine the cause of death.
