Millions of Australians are scrambling to find tickets in the hope of a life-changing windfall after Thursday night’s $100 million Powerball draw.

The jackpot has been won and one lucky Queenslander has taken home the entire $100 million.

This year’s jackpot was the third largest prize and the sixth largest in Australian lottery history.

The winning numbers for Powerball drawing 1475 are 16, 24, 11, 4, 10, 18, and 23. The Powerball drawing was 6.

The winning ticket was purchased in Brisbane’s North.

Officials were unable to reach the mystery winner to tell him/her the life-changing news because the entry was not registered.

Ten division two winners are nearly $190,000 richer, while another 213 competitors take home $11,008.65 each.

More than half of Australia’s adult population were expected to buy a ticket for Thursday night’s draw.

It was the third-biggest lottery winner in Australian history.

The last six-figure jackpot was in May, when an Adelaide man became the biggest lottery winner in Australian history with a $150 million windfall.

Eleven Powerball Division 1 winners have won more than $492 million so far this year, with five in New South Wales ($210 million), four in Queensland ($120 million) and one each in South Australia ($150 million) and Victoria ($12 million).

More than half of the winning entries were QuickPicks and nearly half were PowerHit entries, a Powerball entry that guarantees the Powerball number needed to win Division 1.
