Only two men are able to claim last place, and they are Nathan Aspinall and seven-time prem-champion Michael van Gerwen.

The ASP is currently occupied in fourth place with 24 points after he had demanded a gigantic victory in Aberdeen last week.

And because the competitions of Night 16 are determined by placing the competition, Aspinall will be confronted with Van Gerwen (fifth) in a blockbuster all-or-nothing-quart final in Sheffield.

All the ASP has to do is beat MVG to secure its place in the play-offs.

While the green machine has to do much more, because it is four points behind Aspinall for the night 16.

Van Gerwen will first have to beat the Mancunian in the quarterfinals and then claim his first nightly victory of the season to continue to the play-offs.

Chris Dobey, Rob Cross and Stephen Bunting cannot all be eligible for the play-offs.
