Primark fans are going crazy over new autumn buys – including £3 ‘lip filler replacement’
PRIMARK’s make-up departments have grown tremendously in recent years.
From knockoffs of our favorite designer products to innovative tools, you’ll find everything you need here, usually for less than five euros.
And now the fast fashion giant has developed a brand new lip gloss that plumps your lips in seconds.
The PS… Lip Plumper comes in two shades: pink and clear, and costs just £3 each.
“Have you ever dreamed of having smooth, full, voluminous and hydrated lips?” asked the bosses at Primark.
“Well, with our lip plumper you can have it all!
Packed with vitamin E, this lip gloss instantly adds volume and a fuller effect to your lips.
“The pink, shimmery colour is always a winner, meaning you can keep your lips looking perfectly radiant all day, every day.
“Just apply and wait to see the amazing effects.”
Lip plumpers work by temporarily increasing the fullness and appearance of the lips, usually using ingredients that cause mild swelling.
Although it is not a permanent solution like lip fillers, it is a cheaper and safer alternative.
Most use ingredients like capsaicin (from chili peppers), menthol, cinnamon and/or ginger extract to stimulate the delicate skin of the lips.
This irritation causes the blood vessels to dilate, increasing blood flow to the lips and making them appear fuller.
The slight tingling or burning sensation that people experience is a sign that the product is doing its job.
Customers are enthusiastic and expect that this affordable product “could replace their lip filler appointments”.
Other autumn products from Primark include PS… Pro Instant Blusher and Bronzing Drops for £3.50 each.
Primark’s best deals for autumn
Heading to Primark soon? Keep an eye out for these items.
Here, Fabulous fashion editor Clemmie Fieldsend reveals her top six Primark buys this autumn.
Coat£60
I know what you’re thinking: ‘£60 for Primark?’ Yes, it’s more expensive than we’re used to from Primark, but it’s worth every penny.
This one is from their Edit range, which is more expensive than the rest of their collection and is built to last.
It is a wool blend that is durable and warm, and has a timeless straight silhouette that is slightly oversized and will last not only this season but also beyond.
Bag, €16
Big bags are back… Finally, in a big way.
This bag exudes luxury with its croc effect and dark orange colour. Plus it’s ideal for carrying your laptop, lunch, change of shoes, bag – basically everything you need for the day. And all for £16.
Jacket£32
Field jackets are very popular this season with celebrities and catwalk models. Designer brands like Barbour, Burberry and Bottega wear the utilitarian look.
They are great to wear over jeans or as a contrast to a floral or flowy dress. They are also the perfect in-between jacket.
Dress£18,
You’ve probably seen, heard and read that leopard print won’t go away at all in the fall. To illustrate the trend, this dress is a must-have.
Sleeves? Check. Midi length? Check. Ultra-flattering square neck? Check. It’s got it all.
Pair it with black over-the-knee boots or your favorite sneakers during the day and go for a chic look in the evening with gold heels and accessories.
Jeans£16
Barrel-shaped, balloon-shaped, horseshoe-shaped – whatever you call them, they are this season’s must-have trouser styles.
I tried on a pair from Primark and they fit great, are comfortable and flattering.
So if you think you don’t have anything that meets the fashion, you can trade in your favorite denim for this model and be completely up-to-date again.
Bootand, £24
It’s boot season and instead of feeling like you have to buy boots in every color, length, and height, opt for one pair that you can wear with most of your wardrobe.
My jaw nearly dropped when I saw that these black, knee-high, block heel, flat toe and side zip shoes (so I don’t have to take them off at the end of the day) were just £24.
If you buy one thing this season, make it this.
There’s also a £4.50 PS… Pro Cream Contour Wand in two shades light and dark.
“Sculpt and enhance your bone structure and best features with this PS… Pro Cream Contour Wand,” reads a blurb.
“This product is formulated to provide buildable coverage and can be blended to create a light contour or layered for a more intense look.
“It comes in a sleek, squeeze tube with a cushion applicator for precise application, allowing you to create a sculpted, contoured complexion in a flawless way.”
There are six shades in the brand new £6 PS… Pro Airbrush Foundation, which Primark bosses say creates “a flawless base that minimises imperfections”.
They added: “This liquid foundation comes in a range of shades and is designed to create an airbrushed effect on the skin, even out the skin tone and give it a radiant, skin-like finish.
“Hyaluronic acid and vitamin E have been added to the lightweight formula for added hydration and skin benefits.
“For buildable coverage, apply desired amount with a brush or beauty sponge until you achieve ideal coverage.”
