The £10 swimsuit comes in a range of colours including peach, black, baby glue and a bright green.

The retail giant’s social media team promoted the new purchase on Instagram, but shoppers aren’t sure what to make of it.

Some have even warned that the sleek design will make for a “big moose hoof.”

Unitards are often worn for dance, gymnastics or athletics, as they offer great freedom of movement while still maintaining a sleek silhouette.

In the fashion world, they’ve become a seasonal item that influencers wear every fall as layers over sweatshirts and oversized shirts.

Primark’s new offering is sleeveless and short.

Officially it was designed as sportswear, but thanks to the rise of athleisure trends it can also be worn for everyday use.

And as trendy as the unitard looks, consumers warn that the ribbed design can cinch you in all the wrong places… including your nether regions.

“You have to have a very special body or be a very confident person to wear this,” says Feana Walshe.

“I will never have a special body or confidence.”

“That’s going to give me a huge moose hoof,” Emma Hearts feared.

Tina Dawson added that the design is “fine until you have to pee,” while another laughed: “My flaps could never handle that.”

“There’s too much vagina on display and I don’t want to be on my bum,” Amanda Atherton fumed.

“Bring back modesty.”

The best-selling Primark nostalgia items

If you are looking for nostalgia, Primark is the place to go.

“Do people actually wear these shoes in public?” another customer wondered.

Yet it wasn’t all negativity.

Some buyers couldn’t wait to get their hands on the design, writing: “It looks so comfortable.”

“Oh my god, I love it,” joked Noona Chonlata.

A third beamed that they had “bought so many in London”.
