Prime Minister Modi would return to Delhi after concluding his events in Delhi poll-bound state.
As per protocol, the aircraft was grounded and a technical team worked to identify and resolve the problem.
Earlier, Prime Minister Modi addressed two rallies in Jharkhand as part of the celebrations of Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, an occasion to honor tribal hero Birsa Munda. The events came just days before the second phase of elections Jharkhand Assembly elections on November 20.
Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s helicopter was also halted for almost two hours in Jharkhand’s Mahagama after air traffic control denied permission for take-off.
Congress leaders have alleged that it was a “deliberate obstruction” by the BJP, alleging that the delay was politically motivated. Sources revealed that Rahul Gandhi’s helicopter clearance was postponed due to Prime Minister Modi’s poll in Bihar’s Jamui, restricting airspace availability in the area.
