Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulates Navin Ramgoolam for winning the elections in Mauritius
NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday congratulated Dr. Navin Ramgoolam in a telephone exchange following his re-election as Prime Minister of Mauritius.
Prime Minister Modi went to X and expressed his best wishes for Ramgoolam’s success in leading Mauritius and invited him to visit India.
“I had a warm conversation with my friend Dr. Navin Ramgoolam, congratulating him on his historic achievement electoral victoryPM Modi said.

“I wished him every success in leading Mauritius and invited him to visit India. I look forward to working closely to strengthen our special and unique partnership,” he added.
Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth which was conceded in the hotly contested legislative winner-take-all elections, paving the way for the opposition to seize power.
The final results have yet to be officially released, but opposition leader Navin Ramgoolam appeared set to take over as prime minister for a third time and lead the Alliance of Change coalition.
