The Prince of Wales has said that he is ‘deeply sad’ to hear from the death of Liverpool -footballer Diogo Jota.
Prince William43, sent his good wishes to the friends and family of Diogo, who died with his younger brother Andre when their Lamborghini crashed while they drove through Northern Spain.

The Liverpool star and his brother crashed while they drove through North Spain to catch an overnight spring to the UK, it came to the fore today.

Jota was part of Liverpool’s Premier League-winning side in the 2024/25 campaign and scored six goals in 26 performances. He also played for the national team of Portugal and helped to win the Nations League last month in an extraordinary victory over Rivals Spain over penalties.

The Spanish civilian guard said he was found dead next to his brother Andre Silva, after their car had gone from a road near the city of Zamora.
