Pro-Palestinian demonstrators occupied the most important library of Columbia University

Dozens of Pro-Palestinian demonstrators flocked into the main library on the Campus of Columbia University on Wednesday afternoon and occupied part of the building, in an attempt to reject the protest movement that the Campus last spring.
The demonstrators, who wear masks and Kaffiyehs, hung up banners In the rising main room of the second floor of Butler Library, the rename of the space ‘De Basel Al -raaj Popular University’, according to the demonstrators and witnesses in the library.
Columbia University Apartheid DESINVATION, A protest movement on campus said in a substitail post that it had occupied the building to “show that as long as Columbia finances funds and profit of imperialist violence, people will continue to disturb the profit and legitimacy of Columbia.”
The protest comes when the Trump government has set up Columbia about what it calls it failure to protect Jewish students against intimidation, which reduces more than $ 400 million in federal research financing to the school. The university has been enormous pressure to disturb the Pro-Palestinian protests, in particular those who put an end to the state of Israel.
Students were evacuated from the library, filled with people who are preparing for their final exams, and Columbia guards gathered in the area. The police had not yet been asked to respond to the scene, said a spokesperson for the department.
