The new Viewsonic’s VG41V series marks the last effort of the company to make room in the crowds Business monitor segment.
These monitor target Video conferences And productivity users by Windows Hello Facial Recognition, a built-in 5MP webcam and improved ergonomic designs.
On paper they check many courses, but in practice the Line -Up leaves a few open questions, in particular around the display of the display and power delivery.
Productivity benefits cannot mask a compromise for a resolution
The VG41V series contains three models: the 24-inch VG2441V and two 27-inch options, the VG2741V and VG2741V-2K.
While the VG2741V-2K supports the resolution of QHD (2560×1440), the VG2741V and VG2441V only support the FHD (1920×1080) resolution.
None of them reaches 4k Resolution, which is increasingly expected in higher office monitoror but nevertheless introduces the line-up thoughtful accents such as infrared-compatible face recognition via Windows Hello.
The 120 Hz renewal speed and Eye Protech+ (Flicker-Free Technology and Low Blue Light) make extensive sessions more bearable, functions that are well in accordance with viewsonic’s productivity branding.
This series makes safe, direct login to digital workplaces possible, which can rely on companies that manage device access without passwords.
It also integrates a 5MP webcam, tiltable with ± 5 °, and contains a physical privacy cover, while double microphones and stereo speakers support a complete conference setup.
For external employees or office-based teams that regularly participate in zoom or team conversations, this package can offer a plug-and-play convenience that some will appreciate.
However, feeding the VG41V series via USB-C introduces a compromise.
Although USB-C is unmistakably a flexible standard for video, data and charging, its implementation feels uncomfortable.
Viewsonic offers double USB-C ports, one upstream for data and video, and one downstream that only supports 15 W charging.
That is enough to charge a telephone or a small accessory, but it does not give electricity laptop or meets the needs of many office tests.
This could frustrate users who are based on a solution with one cable, especially Apple Users looking for the Best monitor for Mac Mini or MacBook Pro.
That said, the series performs well on ergonomics, with support for adjustments to the height, tilt, swivel and pivot. It also contains a compact standard to maximize the office space.
The VG41V series from Viewsonic uses FSC-certified, recyclable packaging and meets Epeat and Energy Star standards.
The VG41V series will arrive in selected markets in North -America, Asia and Europe in the coming months.
The prices for the VG41V series remain unknown at the time of writing, making it difficult to assess whether the considerations in resolution and power of power are ultimately justified.
