A proud mother received nasty comments from internet trolls after she showed off her amazing frozen meal.

Celine started her TikTok video by telling her viewers, “This is a steal!” as she went through the pieces she had collected.

A mum took to TikTok to show off her amazing food buy, showing off the hampers of food she bagged for just £12

First there was a Margherita pizza, followed by a pack containing four chicken burgers, two breaded fish fillets, two chicken Kievs with cheese and ham and eight fish sticks.

She also received two packs of 12 chicken dippers, another pack of chicken burgers, and some potato letters.

As for non-frozen food, she bought a pack of caramel iced coffee bags and a multipack of Peppa Pig chocolate biscuits from Farmfoods.

“How awesome is that?” she said amazed.

“If I had bought all that stuff from Tesco it would have cost me about £20 or £25.

“So go to Farmfoods!”

She also revealed that eight of the items in the haul were part of the store’s eight for £10 offer.

“£12 for this, BARGAIN!” Celine captioned the video.

But not everyone was impressed with the haul. One wrote: “What a bargain considering it’s processed food… NOT FOR ME!”

“All processed waste. I call it plastic food,” added another.

Five-ingredient family meals in no time

“You got robbed, what a mess,” a third raged.

“Processed garbage, that’s not good food, that’s junk,” sighed someone else.

“I wouldn’t give it to my dogs, let alone my children!”

“What a disgusting, ultra-processed mess! Feed your children better!” added another.

“All edited and reformed crap…mmmmm,” someone else said sarcastically.

Others, however, reacted negatively to the trolls, with one writing: “Why are people so quick to judge that it’s processed food?

“As long as the family is fed, it’s nobody’s business.”

“I don’t understand why people start judging,” mused another.

“I cook for myself, but I still love eating frozen meals because they taste so good.”

Ways to spend less at the supermarket

Grocery price inflation is putting pressure on us all, but if you shop with the following points in mind you could save hundreds of pounds a year:

  • Avoid shopping at convenience stores – they charge more
  • Ask in the store at what times of the day fresh food is on offer
  • Freeze yellow sticker items where you can
  • Plan meals ahead
  • Try own brand or budget brand alternatives
  • Use unit prices to find the best deals

“Half the people who say it’s processed are betting they have processed food in their fridge and don’t even realize it,” said another.

“So worry about yourself!”

“I grew up on home cooked meals and frozen meals from the grocery store,” wrote another.

“There’s nothing wrong with it, as long as it…

“If you are well fed and healthy, what’s the problem?”

Others said they would go to the nearest store to stock up on supplies for the six-week summer vacation.

“Great for the school holidays,” one person wrote.

“That’s awesome!” added another.

“We all need this kind of food, especially during the summer holidays! All the judgmental people, keep scrolling!”

“Absolute bargain!” exclaimed a third.

“Handy for people who don’t have much money and still have to feed children, especially during the 6-week holiday.

“Ideal for finicky teas.”

“Thanks for sharing this. I’m going to Farmfoods tomorrow,” someone else insisted.

“I bought these from Asda today, they literally filled my freezer,” said another.

“They have a deal of 4 items for £5 so I got 12 teas for £15 and got some extras like juice, toilet paper etc for £30.”
