Put an end to excessive scrubbing in the kitchen with my 2-ingredient
You can create a sparkling kitchen without hours of scrubbing if you use two natural ingredients, according to an expert.
He shared his essential tips for removing dirt, dust and spills in the home.
Henrique Conceicao has gained a wealth of experience in his role as area manager at a UK based service provider Totally clean.
Speaking to The US Sun, he shared simple tips for an impeccable home.
SPOTLESS KITCHEN
Conceicao said “over-scrubbing” can be avoided by using natural products to loosen grease and grime in the kitchen.
His best recommendations for effective cleaning are vinegar and baking soda.
He suggested also investing in tools that would make surfaces more shiny more easily.
“Steam cleaning machines are ideal for sanitizing kitchen equipment and maintaining a high basic hygiene standard,” he says.
“Regularly cleaning and organizing closets prevents dirt from building up, making routine cleaning a breeze.”
It may be tempting to use metal utensils or harsh abrasives when washing dishes, but Conceicao warns that this can damage nonstick pans.
“Make sure your pans have had enough time to cool before washing them,” he said.
“In my experience, it is safer to wash them by hand than to put them in the dishwasher.
“You can extend the life of your pans by storing them properly after cleaning, such as with a protective liner or hanging rack.”
Sparkling bathroom
Conceicao said cleaning bathrooms can be made faster by using an all-purpose cleaner or a DIY solution.
Leave it on the surfaces while you perform other tasks.
“Microfiber cloths are great for wiping down surfaces, while a good quality scrub brush is invaluable for tackling more stubborn dirt,” he said.
“Sticking to a consistent cleaning schedule will help prevent stubborn stains and mold from taking hold.”
NEAT BEDROOM
Pillowcases and duvet covers can collect sweat, oils and allergens, so he says it’s a good idea to wash bedding at least once a week.
“It’s also worth airing your mattress regularly so you’re not putting clean bedding on a dirty surface,” he said.
By removing stains as quickly as possible, you prevent stains from setting in and you will need to wash your clothes thoroughly less often.

The cleaning expert advised to wash the carpets in the house regularly, for hygienic reasons.
“Ideally, carpets should be washed every 6 to 12 months, depending on foot traffic and other environmental factors,” he said.

“I have found that regular vacuuming minimizes the presence of dust and allergens.”
