“When people say ‘wow, you’ve really gone crazy’…I never really understood this comment, especially to a woman in her third trimester or someone who is 36 weeks and ready to have a grown baby giving birth,” she wrote in an Instagram post weeks before her due date.
‘Isn’t our bellies expected to grow? Big or small, at any stage of pregnancy, I just love bellies and don’t think of saying that comment so I don’t know what to say if someone says it to me.”
The other comments she makes are when she’s told her belly is “small” — or the opposite of “wow, you’re huge.”
Eight months into her pregnancy with baby number two, Ashy took to social media to ask about a common comment she’d get — and she doesn’t understand why it needs to be said
‘I just think no. I don’t know a single woman who is pregnant or who hasn’t been told they’re huge, we’d love to hear that,” she said.
Earlier in her second pregnancy, Ashy expressed concern that fellow moms were “shaking” her on social media for having a small bump.
While Ashy looked radiant in the poolside photo she posted, she took a serious note in the caption to highlight her experience on Instagram since she shared her baby news.
“It’s 2021, I thought mom shaming was a thing of the past, something I experienced when I was pregnant with Taj seven years ago, but no,” she wrote, referring to her oldest child.

She said that all mothers-to-be have different bodies and they will each show and carry their baby differently.
“I think EVERY pregnant belly is beautiful no matter what, and something that we should all cheer and embrace with each other, [being] pregnant is literally a miracle and so special,” the influencer wrote.
