The answers to today’s Quordle, game #1026, are…

It is always useful if the same letter starts with several Quordle words; it’s kind of a buy-one-get-one-free scenario. Nowadays, TRUSS and TORCH both start with a T, and considering I had all five letters for the latter after my first three guesses, that inevitably made finding the former all the easier as well.

Elsewhere, PURER was a potentially tricky word because it was an ER response and had a repeated R. It wasn’t too bad for me, because by the time I got to it, I had PUR in place, plus a yellow E that had to go to position #4. But for others it may be a different story; it is not an easy word to solve.
