The answers to today’s Quordle question, game #973, are…

For the second day in a row, my Quordle game almost fell victim to an unusual letter. Today it was X that did me in, with ANNEX remaining frustratingly out of reach of my brain until the very last moment, when I tried (I think) every other possible letter combination I had at that point. The double N in the word didn’t help either, and neither did the addition of GUILT elsewhere; the fact that BUILT also fitted meant I had to use another restrictive word to find the right one.
