Quordle today (game #1028) – the answers
Today’s Quordle answers, game #1028, are…
I almost lost my streak today, which meant it took a lot longer than I should have to solve STATE – which is a tough word, admittedly – and then had to solve the remaining three with just one guess for each.
STATE is a bit of a monster to me when it appears. My three fixed starting words give me the STA-E pattern, but the answer could still be STAGE, STAKE, STAVE, or STATE. What I really need is a word that rules out three of those at once, but I haven’t figured out what that might be yet. The best I have is something like GIVEN, which rules out two. When that happens, I will inevitably need at least one more attempt and possibly two more to resolve it. I’d better spend a little more time coming up with a better restrictive word.
