The answers to today’s Quordle question, game #899, are…

I’m very glad JIFFY hasn’t appeared as a Wordle answer yet, if it ever does, because it’s going to be a nightmare to solve. Not that it was a piece of cake in Quordle, although at least I had a few extra guesses to identify it here. Plus, with repeated L’s in ALLOY and a somewhat unusual (and unusually spelled) word in ANVIL, it’s a fairly tricky Quordle all round.

It took me eight guesses to solve it, despite my three starting words giving me a good opening to the game, with four letters already revealed for three of the quadrants. The Daily Sequence was also a tricky one, making this a real head-scratcher of a day in Quordle.
