The answers to today’s Quordle question, game #946, are…

ABYSS is an annoying word to appear in Quordle or Wordle. All the letters are in the wrong places. Check out my analysis of each Wordle answer for proof: the results there will carry over to Quordle, and they show that B only really often appears at the beginning of a word, not as the second, Y generally only appears at the end, not in the middle, and S… well, S appears in most positions, but it’s overwhelmingly more likely to appear at the beginning than anywhere else. Add to that the fact that it has a repeated letter, and this is a potentially difficult word. The good news is that the other three are all pretty easy!
