Radio 1 in major uproar as Mollie King’s presenter is revealed
RADIO 1 has revealed a huge presenter shake-up after Mollie King announced her pregnancy.
The 37-year-old co-hosts Radio 1’s afternoon show with Matt Edmondson.
But after former The Saturdays singer Mollie shared her happy news in August, the channel has revealed who will replace her.
Jeremiah Asiamah will take over on December 2, and the 26-year-old later took to social media to reveal his nerves ahead of the first show.
He wrote: “I’ll be covering one of the biggest shows on Radio 1 in the coming months with the homie @matthewedmondson.
‘I’m feeling nervous.’
Mollie, who is already mother to daughter Annabella with partner Stuart Broad, told fans this week that she is expecting again.
She wrote: “Our little girl is going to be a big sister. We can’t wait to meet you, little one!”
Mollie has been in a relationship with cricketer Stuart since 2018 and the couple got engaged in 2021.
And Mollie has always been open about her desire to expand her family.
She previously said: “I am one of three. I have two older sisters and they are my best friends.
“I always thought it would be great for Annabella to have a brother or sister if that were possible. That would be our dream.”
Mollie, who has just launched a babywear range with Boots, recently admitted she struggles with mum guilt.
She explained Hello: “You have trouble with the feeling of: ‘I want to be home, but I also have to work’. And it’s like: how do you combine this?,
“[It’s often] It is easier to support other people than yourself.”
