‘She was unstable too, and I probably was too. Pairing us was a recipe for disaster.”

The Mean Girls star made headlines at the time when reports emerged that she was allegedly a ‘diva’ on the set of the singing competition.

However, Jackie remained one of her staunchest defenders at the time, saying she was “super protective” of her co-star.

“He made an off-the-cuff joke about us being late for filming because of Lindsay, but he quickly moved on to another topic so I didn’t say anything to interrupt him. He was just joking anyway,” Jackie recalled.

But Lindsay heard the segment and decided I hadn’t defended her, and before I knew it, I was on the end of a barrage of late-night text messages from the Hollywood actress about how I’d been a traitor and her had dropped. down.’

Still in the throes of her addiction to Stilnox and Panadeine forte, which she was mixing with alcohol, Jackie lashed out at Lindsay via text message.

“I quickly reached my own flashpoint of annoyance and sent a volley back in her direction… I was very offended and left her alone,” Jackie said.

The Sydney radio star went on to say she now regrets the way she handled the feud with Lindsay, saying she only lashed out because she was ‘in pain’.

Lindsay did not return to The Masked Singer Australia when it was renewed for a 2020 season as she was unable to fly to Australia due to Covid travel restrictions.

Bizarrely, The Parent Trap star unfollowed fellow judges Jackie, Dave ‘Hughesy’ Hughes and Dannii Minogue after confirming she had left the show.

She was replaced by Australian comedian Urzila Carlson. Jackie returned for a second season of the franchise, but dropped out before the third installment.
