Rahul Gandhi’s remarks are a sinister attempt to demonise Hindus, Hindutva: RSS functionary – Times of India

NEW DELHI: A senior RSS official, in the latest edition of the Sangh-inspired weekly “Organiser”, has maintained that the Congress leader’s recent statement Rahul Gandhi in parliament that ‘those who call themselves Hindus are violent, spread hatred and lies’ is a sinister attempt to demonize Hindus, Hindustani and a scripted conspiracy to divide society through a repackaged Nehruvian secularism about the Indian psyche.
“Although an attempt has been made by Left-Liberal-Islamic Ecosystem to create a binary number between Hinduism and Hindutva, their efforts did not yield any fruits due to their declining political influence. But with a slightly renewed mandate in the recent Lok Sabha elections“They are trying to impose this dangerous narrative on the country,” wrote J Nandakumar, a senior Sangh functionary, in the latest edition of the Weekly.
Nandkumar further stated that Gandhi’s statements were a clear attempt to create confusion and chaos in the country, particularly among the Hindus, and thus gain political gains.
He has also claimed that Hindu Dharma does not give any individual or sect a mandate to brand anyone as ‘infidel’ or fake. “By doing this, with his skewed understanding of the concept of Shiva, Rahul Gandhi has tried to graft the Abrahamic approach onto Hindu Dharma,” Nandakumar has said.
The RSS functionary’s remarks come in response to parts of Gandhi’s maiden speech as Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha recently, in which he expressed displeasure when Prime Minister Narendra Modi objected by saying, “To call the entire Hindu community violent is a very serious matter.”
The detailed observations of RSS functionaries, prominently featured in the Weekly Magazine and inspired by the Sangh, are another example of the RSS’s strong support for the BJP and the party’s support for the political organisation, despite the narratives against them and their communal ideologies.
Following Prime Minister Modi, who equated Gandhi’s remarks with ‘Balak Buddhi’, the RSS functionary said that ‘several commentators’ have dismissed Rahul Gandhi’s remarks as a childish attempt to corner the BJP leadership.
“The hanging of the picture of Bhagwan Shiva (thank God he was spared – so his head is in the right place) in the house was not without purpose. It is part of a well-thought-out global plan to divide and thin out Hindu society by forces that have their responsibilities abroad,” Nandakumar noted.
He also highlighted how the Congressmen, especially in the South, have already made plans to build an “architecture of hate and anarchy” by re-imagining the old Aryan-Dravidian narrative.
“A ‘Muruga conclave’ is being planned to pit Bhagwan Karthikeya against ‘North Indian invader’ Bhagwan Ram. Some time ago, a DMK leader had said, ‘Who is Ram? Ram has no relevance in the South.’ Through this exercise, they want to drive a wedge between Saivaites and Vaishnavaites,” he wrote.
