Rahul like an unguided rocket, urge Sonia Gandhi to coach him: Himanta Biswa Sarma
NEW DELHI: Exactly what Prime Minister Modi pitched for ‘Ek hai toh safe hai’ (We are safe only when we are united) in Maharashtra, Assam CM and Jharkhand co-poll Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday reiterated the same message in Jharkhand, where elections are also taking place.
Sarma accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of dividing Hindus for votes ‘Ek rahoge to safe rahoge’ (You will be safe if you stay united). The BJP leader also mentioned Rahul Gandhi and urged AICC chief Sonia Gandhi to ‘coach’ the Congress member.
“I urge Sonia Gandhi to coach Rahul because without training he is like an unguided missile,” Sarma said at a rally in Ranchi.
BJP’s Jharkhand poll picked the theme ‘infiltration’ to attack the JMM-Congress alliance and claimed that ‘no one takes Rahul Gandhi seriously as he has never visited areas in Jharkhand affected by infiltration’.
“Our election agenda focuses on exploiting the JMM-led coalition of ‘Maati, Beti, Roti’ in Jharkhand,” Sarma added.
The BJP chief minister also said that if the BJP is not voted to power, infiltrators would raid houses, putting “wives, daughters-in-law and daughters under serious threat.”
Sarma stated, “We will remove ministers like Alamgir Alam and Irfan Ansari, who have exploited Jharkhand, just as we expelled Babar from Ayodhya.”
Alam is currently jailed in connection with a multi-crore money laundering case, while Ansari is under fire for allegedly making offensive comments about the BJP candidate and Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s sister-in-law.
Earlier, Rahul Gandhi observed that the BJP leaders are only interested in handing over the country and the country’s wealth to a small group of billionaires.
“I want that when this country is run, 90 percent of the people run this country and the BJP wants the country to be run by two to three people – Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Ambani and Adani – and the The wealth of the entire country, whether it is your land or forest, everything would be taken from you and given away to these 10 to 15 big billionaires,” he said.
The Assembly elections in Jharkhand will be held on November 13 and 20, with counting of votes scheduled for November 23.
