  • Ralf previously received a lot of support after he came out as gay in July
  • Cora Schumacher is embroiled in an ongoing feud with her ex-husband

The feud between Ralf Schumacher and his ex-wife has taken a new twist after the brother of Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher was accused of lying in a television interview after previously coming out as gay.

Former Williams driver Ralf announced in July that he was in love with his French manager Etienne Bousquet-Cassagne.

In the immediate aftermath of the announcement, Schumacher, 49, received a flood of positive messages, including from his good friend, German actress Carmen Geiss.

However, the news sparked a war of words between Schumacher and his ex-wife Cora, who has now accused him of lying in a television interview claiming she had blocked his number and social media profiles.

Cora Schumacher is now seeking further clarification on her ex-husband’s claim and has instructed her legal team to send a letter to Ralf’s lawyers stating that the accusation is false, as reported by BIL.

According to BILD, the legal document sent by Cora’s team states: ‘You (Ralf Schumacher) claim that you wanted to clarify the matter with our client, and even more: that you tried to do so.

‘An attempt that failed (unilaterally) because our client ‘blocked’ you on her social media accounts and on her mobile phone. This is not true in several respects.’

The report further claims that Cora has only blocked Ralf on WhatsApp and is still reachable by her ex-husband via phone call or text message.

The legal letter continues: ‘You (Ralf Schumacher) are very familiar with our client’s telephone numbers and email addresses. The same goes for your Étienne (his partner), who even called our client after you had reached an agreement.’

It has also been suggested that Cora might be willing to have a phone conversation with Ralf to put an end to the ugly war of words that has broken out since his revelation.

Cora previously hit back at the former F1 driver during their ongoing feud after claiming she ‘wasted her best years on him’ after he came out as gay.

The couple was previously married for 14 years and had a son David together before splitting in 2015.

Initially, Cora had insisted that she felt “used” by Ralf, who later responded by leaking WhatsApp messages congratulating Etienne on their union.

There were also fears from the Schumacher camp that Cora could reveal the top-secret state of Ralf’s brother Michael’s health, while the seven-time F1 legend continues to be cared for after a life-changing skiing accident.
