‘Rapist-murderer’ turns out to be a serial killer | India News – Times of India

SURAT: A 30-year-old resident of Haryana, who allegedly raped and murdered a 19-year-old girl near Udvada town in Valsad district of Gujarat on November 14, was arrested by the Gujarat police on Sunday. Interrogation revealed that he was a serial killer wanted in at least four murders, and other undetected killings, on trains in Karnataka, Telangana, Maharashtra and West Bengal.Police said the suspect – Rahul alias Bholu Karmvir Ishwar Jat – arrived in Vapi on November 14 and took a local train to Udvada to collect his outstanding salary from a hotel where he had previously worked. While walking to the hotel on Udvada-Pardi Road he saw the girl walking along the railway tracks. The victim returned to her home and spoke to her friend on the phone.
