Realme P2 Pro appears on Geekbench with this Snapdragon SoC
Realme is launching the Realme P2 Pro in India on September 13. While we wait for the official unveiling, the upcoming P-series smartphone has apparently surfaced on the Geekbench benchmarking site. The Realme P2 Pro is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC. The successor to the Realme P1 Pro is teased to feature a 120Hz AMOLED display and 80W charging support. It will be available for purchase in the country via Flipkart.
Realme P2 Pro spotted on Geekbench with key specs
A Realme device appeared on Geekbench website with model number RMX3987. The listing, dated September 6, is said to be that of the Realme P2 Pro. The listing suggests that the handset has scored 866 points in the single-core test and 2,811 points in the multi-core test.
The listing also suggests that an octa-core chipset codenamed ‘Parrot’ will be powering the Realme P2 Pro. The chipset will feature four cores clocked at 2.40GHz and four cores clocked at 1.96GHz. The aforementioned codename and CPU speed suggests that the RMX3987 will be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC. As per the listing, the handset could come with 11.14GB of RAM, which on paper could translate to 12GB. It could also come with Android 14 out of the box.
The Realme P2 Pro 5G launch event will take place on September 13 at 12:00 PM IST. It will be available for purchase on the e-commerce site besides the official Realme India website.
Realme hasn’t revealed the specifications of the Realme P2 Pro yet, but it has been confirmed that the device will come with a 120Hz curved AMOLED display and 80W charging support. It is also teased to come in a Green color option with dual rear cameras.
The rest of the specifications could be similar to the Realme P1 Pro. The latter came with a price tag of Rs. 19,999 for the 8GB + 128GB RAM and storage variant.
