Reddit for millions of Australians as outage sparks mass outrage: ‘What’s going on?’

Millions of Australians are furious after Reddit suffered a massive outage, leaving social media users unable to access the popular online platform.
Online network insights website Downdetector issued an alert on Thursday morning saying people have been experiencing problems accessing the app.
“User reports indicate issues on Reddit,” the warning read.
As of 9 a.m. on Thursday, more than 1,500 outages were reported and users received an error message when they tried to log in.
“Our CDN was unable to reach our servers,” the message said.
Social media users were directed to another link below the error message if they continued to experience the problem.
The disruption has angered Australian social media users, with many taking to other platforms such as X to express their frustration.
“Reddit is offline and I’m here for the updoots,” one social media user wrote.

“Reddit has gone back to bed,” another user wrote.
“Has Reddit crashed?” asked a third.
The latest outage from a technology platform comes after millions of Australians were unable to log into Ticketek to book tickets for live events on Tuesday.
Customers received a message stating that officials were carrying out maintenance work on the site when they visited the site online.
The outage is said to have started on Sunday evening.
