Redmi 13C appears for the first time in recently leaked renders

The Redmi 13C could be slowly heading towards its launch as renders have surfaced online which offer a glimpse at its possible design. The leaked renders suggest three color options for the smartphone and it can be seen with a waterdrop-style notch on the display. The display also seems to feature thick bezels. The leaked images show the Redmi 13C sporting a triple camera setup on the back. The Redmi 13C could be arriving as a successor to the Redmi 12C that was made official in India in March this year.

MySmartPrice has published Alleged renders of the Redmi 13C. The handset’s design appears to be almost identical to its predecessor — Redmi 12C. It is shown in blue, black and green colour options with slightly thicker bezels on the sides. The handset appears to feature a centrally placed waterdrop-style notch to house the selfie camera.

Around the back, the Redmi 13C can be seen sporting a triple camera setup on the back, along with an LED flash. The camera sensors appear to be arranged in a rectangular island at the top-left corner. The text next to the camera island suggests that the handset will feature a 50-megapixel primary sensor. The volume rockers and the power button can be seen on the right edge.

The Redmi 13C is expected to arrive as a successor to the Redmi 12C. It could be a budget offering. The Redmi 12C made its debut in India in March with a price tag of Rs. 8,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. The 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant costs Rs. 10,999.

The Redmi 12C runs on Android 12-based MIUI 13 and features a 6.71-inch HD+ (720×1,600 pixels) LCD display with a 60Hz refresh rate. It is powered by MediaTek Helio G85 SoC that comes with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It has a dual camera setup on the back, consisting of a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel secondary camera. For selfies, it has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The phone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W wired charging.
