Redmi A3 design and specifications revealed via alleged marketing poster

Redmi A3 is expected to launch soon as a successor to the Redmi A2. Ahead of its official debut, the smartphone has reportedly appeared in African stores, revealing its design as well as specifications. The Redmi A3 is said to be powered by a MediaTek processor, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It seems to feature a 13-megapixel primary camera on the back and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The Redmi A3 is said to house a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 10W charging.

The yet-to-be-announced Redmi A3 is currently listed at several African outlets, including reported by Passionategeekz. The screenshots of the listing shared by the publication show black, blue and dark green hues. On the front, it appears to have a waterdrop-shaped notch with the selfie camera right in the middle.

According to the listing, the dual (SIM) Redmi A3 runs Android 13 and features a 6.71-inch HD+ (1,600 x 720 pixels) LCD display with a 120Hz touch sampling rate and 90Hz refresh rate, and 400 nits peak brightness. It is powered by a MediaTek SoC, with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM. The available storage can be expanded up to 8GB using the virtual RAM functionality.

The listing suggests an AI-powered dual camera unit on the rear of the Redmi A3, consisting of a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a secondary camera. For selfies and video chatting, there could be an 8-megapixel camera sensor on the front with f/2.2 aperture. As per the listing, the smartphone will feature 64GB of eMMC 5.1 storage.

Redmi A3 will debut as a successor to the Redmi A2. The Redmi A2 was launched in May last year with a starting price of Rs. 5,999 for the base variant with 2GB RAM + 32GB storage. The 2GB RAM + 64GB storage variant costs Rs. 6,499 while the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model costs Rs. 7,499.
