Redmi Note 12 Pro+ gets 200-megapixel Samsung HPX main camera

The Redmi Note 12 series is all set to debut in China on Thursday. Xiaomi’s sub-brand has now confirmed that one of the smartphones in the lineup will be called the Redmi Note 12 Pro+. Further, the smartphone will feature a 200-megapixel Samsung HPX primary camera, which could be the ISOCELL HP3 sensor that Samsung unveiled earlier this year. Redmi shared a after on Weibo on Tuesday to confirm that the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ will be coming with a 200-megapixel Samsung HPX primary camera. It delved into the details about this camera, which features a 1/1.4-inch image sensor with an f/1.65 aperture. The sensor is also coated with a high-end ALD anti-glare coating to significantly improve image quality.

This sensor has three shooting modes. It can be set to 12.5 megapixels to capture images at a resolution of 4,080×3,060 pixels. At 50 megapixels, the Samsung HPX sensor can capture images at a resolution of 8,160×6,120 pixels. Finally, this sensor is capable of capturing images at a resolution of 16,320×12,2440 pixels at 200 megapixels.
