Revealed: Qatar Airways creates the world’s first ‘airline commercial where YOU can be the star. Here’s how…

Have you ever dreamed of being the star of an airline commercial?

Now you can – thanks to an “innovative, one-of-a-kind” interactive “AI adventure” film unveiled by Qatar Airways.

Users can place themselves in the mini-movie, choosing from locations such as a Qatar Airways flight, London, Doha and Tokyo, and then sit back and watch their ‘performance’ unfold.

How? First, the viewer visits ai.flyqatar.com selects one of several romantic scenes to appear in, and a main character, and uploads a photo of themselves. AI technology then scans it and transforms the actor or actress’ facial features into a likeness of the viewer.

A few moments later, the new clip is ready to watch, either via the flyqatar.com website or via a link in an email.

MailOnline Travel tried the feature and found it worked seamlessly. The character customization was impressive.
