RICHARD EDEN: Newly promoted senior private executive assistant to William and Kate shows off her £5,900 Cartier watch on social media – the same model the Princess was pictured wearing

Natasha Archer, recently promoted by the Prince and Princess of Wales, is clearly in sync with Catherine.

The PA and stylist, who was handed the new title of ‘senior private executive assistant’ to William and Catherine, showed off her Cartier watch on social media.

It appears to be a £5,900 Ballon Bleu, just as the princess has been depicted in the past.

Catherine’s sister, Pippa Matthews, owns an even more expensive timepiece from the same Cartier range.

Hers is a dazzling diamond and rose gold watch worth more than £15,000.

The princess was first spotted wearing hers, a gift from Prince William, during a visit to one of her charities, The Art Room, in 2014. It is believed to be a 36mm watch with a steel strap.

‘Girl Friday’ Natasha’s promotion is being interpreted in royal circles as a reward for her loyalty.

The photo shows the 36-year-old carrying Catherine’s bags on and off planes for royal tours.

The move follows reports that she had personally collected the princess from the London Clinic following her abdominal surgery earlier this year.

She was then inducted into the inner circle of select friends and family members who supported Catherine during her private battle with cancer.

Sources say Ms Archer – who has two children with her husband, royal photographer Chris Jackson – is committed to her employer.

She has been inseparable from Catherine in recent months, often assisting her as she travels to and from hospital appointments.

A source told the Mail on Sunday: ‘Natasha deserves this boost – she is unfailingly discreet and loyal to Kate.

‘The salary increase will also be welcome. This appointment means we can expect Natasha by Kate’s side for years to come.

“It seems to be Kate’s way of thanking her for her loyalty.”

Before joining William and Catherine, she worked in the private office of the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, whom she joined in 2007.

She attended the £48,000-a-year Uppingham School in Rutland, whose alumni include Stephen Fry.

Hollywood star Hugh Jackman once worked there as a teaching assistant.
