The Los Angeles coroner’s office concluded that his death was “due to complications from recent falls and heart disease as a contributing factor.”

According to the toxicology report, he was not taking any medications other than those prescribed to him.

The Los Angeles Police Department concluded that no foul play was involved.

Previous reports said that Simmons fell at his home on July 12 after feeling dizzy, and that the exercise icon told his housekeeper that he might seek medical attention the next day if he still felt ill.
